India Losing Wasn’t Just Their Loss

In what would be India’s last game in the ICC Cricket World Cup, they would end up suffering from a batting-order breakdown: their top-order would fail to produce runs that the team needs. Their middle order, in a way, also wasn’t able to score key runs. It was up to MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja to bring the team back - or at least try. Both would put up a cricket score of a 116-run stand. Despite their best efforts, they would end up losing the match.

Because of their exit from the tournament, India cricket has been quick to judge the team and its management for all the decisions that have been made. However, MS Dhoni took the brunt of all the critics. They weren’t persuaded that it was the same Dhoni that won them the world cup back in 2011. He hasn’t been his usual self, scoring little points. The India cricket fanbase wanted Dhoni to take control of matches and bring India another world cup title.

It is still unclear what his decision will be following the exit from the tournament- whether or not he will retire, play in the international format of the game or just domestically, or leave the decision up to the selectors of the national team.

Fans aren’t the only ones who were disappointed at India’s early exit from the world cup. Being the crowd favorites, it was natural that bettors would place hefty amounts on them. They were expected to win the tournament, not lose the semi-finals match against New Zealand. People who place bets on sports betting sites know that when it comes to cricket, India is one, if not the, most passionate country and team. Bettors are disappointed at the outcome, especially those that bet using online currency, since there are additional fees they have to pay. Bitcasino, for example, is an online betting site that accepts cryptocurrency as its mode of payment. There are various online betting and sports betting sites that accept cryptocurreny.
